i'm going to have to fast for a week after all of this cooking and eating.
on christmas we had an enormous prime rib roast and four desserts.
i made seven dozen cookies.
and today i made a new year day feast of rack of lamb with wild rice yams and shallots.
i marinated the lamb in fresh herbs and rice vinegar (half balsamic vinegar) and garlic. salt and pepper, dry mustard.
450 F for 15 minutes on middle rack. then five minutes on broil closer to the fire. (electric)
it was very good. i am so full i have no room for my 'after eight' dinner mints. :happy: :chef:
