outrageous… and you are right to feel ripped off. i

am going to help spread this post. i suggest everyone who reads this read dacotah's post… link below and spread the recipe accross the globe. but if you want to live long, don't put four eggs in. one will do.

but i also have a 'come to dinner post'

as you all know, i live alone and one of the activities i indulge in now and then is to cook a spectacular dinner for myself and share it cyberly with my friends.

this is a lovely beef stroganoff. i don't use recipes normally, but this version of stroganoff takes about three hours. there are shortcuts, but i don't take them.
first you marinate the beef in two inch strips. wine is best… marsala wine made only in sicily is the very best.

use fresh shallots and garlic. go easy on the salt because you can use salted butter to saute' the shallots and garlic. sweet basil is the only herb needed. a little black pepper is good too. don't throw out the marinade (overnight in the refrigerator, covered). just add a can of beef broth and cook it all for a couple of hours with a half a pound of fresh sliced mushrooms.

then at the end you add a can of mushroom soup and about 4 ounces of sour cream and simmer until the gravy is a good thickness. pout this all over either "spaetzel", you make yourself or flat egg noodles.

i didn't have any noodles so i used a japanese noodle made from whole grain. broccoli and bread round out the meal. steam the broccoli to retain the vitamins. don't over cook vegetables.

for sounds with dinner, i recommend borodin's "night on bald mountain".

don't try to eat the cookies until two hours later… this is so good you will probably over-eat.

here's the $250 recipe:

i am on dacotah's side in this… there's too many big

companies out there sucking us dry.

my comment:

what really gets me is that that's just a standard

recipe for chocolate chip cookies. there's nothing

special about it except it's a lethal dose of eggs.

so you just had an overly avaricious salesperson.

10% of $2.50 is .25 but $250 is $25. that's just pure

greed and i have no doubt that she knew she could

fool you by not mentioning two hundred and fifty

dollars. two-fifty… she should be fired because she

gives nieman marcus a bad name. …
